J&J Outfitters is proud to offer some of the best free range/low fence Whitetail hunting south of the border. We hunt a few different ranches in Tamaulipas and Coahuila that vary in size from 6000-12,000 acres. These are leased properties where we have exclusive access. These ranches have been owned and trophy managed by the same families for generations. The annual allowed harvest for trophy bucks on these ranches averages one buck per thousand acres. Thus the highest trophy potential exist. These bucks have the same genetics as the famed South Texas deer without the high Texas pricetag. Al ranches we hunt are low fence.
The deer that we target here are fully mature 5 1/2 year old plus bucks that typically score between 139-165. If you ever dreamed of harvesting a low fence truly wild trophy buck at a very reasonable price then this is your opportunity. The price of this hunt for 2022-2023 is only $4575 for one trophy deer (hunters choice, no additional trophy fee) Gun rental, license, ammo, lodging, and food included. The package is for 4 days. As an added bonus, Javelina, hogs, small game and varmint hunting is free. Wingshooting for quail and duck is available depending on location and conditions. The deer season runs Dec-Feb with peak rut between mid Dec to mid Jan.
I hunted Mexican Whitetail for the first time in late December 2013. I was astounded and hooked. It was by far the best whitetail hunt that I have ever been on. I saw big buck after big buck. In fact I saw deer from sunrise to sunset. What was amazing is that I got to see all types of typical deer behavior in a natural setting without the deer acting nervous and afraid. The hunter pressure is so low that you actually see an abundance of trophy bucks during daylight hours.
Do you want to rattle in a nice buck? Well here is the place to do it. The ratio of buck to doe is an incredible one to one. I rattled several on this trip. The most difficult part of this hunt is not making a mistake and shooting a lesser deer when so many great deer are available. I have taken several great mature bucks scoring 140 and up.
I would like to add that the ranches we hunt are safe. We have never been in a dangerous or threatening situation. There is a myth that all of Mexico is extremely dangerous and one should not travel there. We take the highest precautions to keep it safe. Yes like anywhere else in the world if you are looking for trouble you will find it.
